PSYCHOLOGIST / CLINICAL NEUROPSYCHOLOGY REGISTRAR
Emily holds a master’s degree in clinical neuropsychology and is a neuropsychology registrar and a registered psychologist with AHPRA.
Emily has a specific interest in brain-related disorders and offers comprehensive neuropsychological assessments and neuropsychological therapeutic interventions to support clients with cognitive concerns/impairment and adjustment, emotional and identity issues which are common following a brain injury. Emily has experience assessing individuals of all ages. She has experience in decision making capacity, interpreter, diagnostic, education, strength and weakness-based assessments and assessments to assist NDIS and DSP applications. She also has experience in positive behavioural support interventions for individuals with brain injury who present with behaviours of concern.
Emily is also interested in engaging in therapy with individuals with various psychiatric conditions including but not limited to depression, anxiety, panic disorder, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and individuals presenting with lowered confidence, lowered motivation, relationship, and sleep difficulties. Emily uses a client-centred approach and is warm, welcoming, and non-judgemental. She works collaboratively with clients to establish and work towards client-centred goals. Emily applies evidence-based therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
